We would like to bring to your attention a set of recent migration news.
1. Ministry’s of Labor initiatives
The Ministry of Labor has prepared a draft bill to reduce the period of notifying the Ministry of Internal Affairs of conclusion or termination of employment contracts with foreigners.
If the law is passed the employer will be required to send a notification to the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within one day and only in electronic form.
This project is a continuation of the strategy of electronification of government services.
According to the draft bill, regional authority will be given the right to fix a limit on granted patents. The authorities will be obliged to notify employers of such restrictions at least three months in advance.We would like to bring to your attention a set of recent migration news.

2. New requirements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region for processing of work permits and notifications of the conclusion of an employment contract (Greenwood)
Two cities should be indicated as the place of signing in contract if persons indicated in the signatories were in different places when signing a contact.
A mandatory requirement to provide a notarized translation of a diploma has been introduced.
Name of Indicated presumptive address of stay of a foreign citizen should be specified (eg: Hotel, guest house, apartment etc.)
3. Patent fees increases starting from 2020 in Russian Federation
Be aware of increasing of coefficients, reflecting the regional characteristics of the labor market and the federal deflator coefficient to determine the amount of monthly advance payment of personal income tax for foreign citizens who work on a patent in the Russian Federation.
The cost of a patent for each region should be clarified further.
4. The procedure for exchange fixed-term residence permits for termless residence permits is started
